What Should I Bring?

 

  1. Warm Clothes (weather dependent), jacket or sweater for meeting room, and “walking” shoes - Casual and comfy!

  2. Bible/Journal

  3. Insulated refillable bottle for water and/or coffee

  4. Flashlight

  5. Folding chair (optional for time outside Saturday afternoon and bonfire Friday night)

  6. Snack/drink for your room (electric coolers are located in each room; soda ($1.00 bill or coins) and ice machines are in the lodging buildings)

  7. Cash/check for two opportunities to support our ministry

    1. Basket Raffles – all proceeds go directly back to the ministry and But God Benevolence Fund ($1/ticket, $10/11 tickets, $20/23 tickets)

    2. WIWM Boutique

      1. Logo Merchandise – all proceeds go to the ministry

  8. Opportunity to Support – IAMFreedomGirl – A mission outreach to women in the Tampa Bay area who are working in strip clubs. You can sow a seed into this ministry by bringing one (or both) of the suggested items: 1. Journals no bigger than 8 ½” x 5” with 100-150 blank pages  (example: https://a.co/d/iSGcA6f )  2.“pretty” pen(s) to go with the journal. There will be a table to learn more, make a monetary donation by check, cash or QR code, and to drop off your donation.

  9. We will be offering a CRAFT breakout session this year where you will have the opportunity to make a “Prayer Board.” The cost for materials is $5. Please bring a cash or check if you would like to participate. Signup will be available at retreat.

Schedule: On Friday, January 10, 2025 - Registration: Begins  promptly at 3:30pm (if you arrive earlier, feel free to enjoy the grounds, but registration will NOT be open prior to 3:30pm). Registration will remain open through 6:30pm. Dinner is from 5:30 - 6:30pm. 

Once on site, you will follow signs for Women in the Word Ministry Retreat which will lead you to the Raintree Education Building. If you are arriving after 6:30pm Friday, our team will be available to meet you and complete your registration in the lobby of the Raintree Education Building. 

If you are arriving Saturday, January 11, 2025 - Breakfast is served from 7:30am-8:30am in the Magnolia Dining Hall. Please stop in the Raintree Lobby first to complete registration.

 

Food Allergies: Although not every dietary request can be accommodated, LYBCC will provide meals for those that are gluten free, dairy free, vegan/vegetarian and options will be available for those with food allergies and other restrictions. They will certainly try to meet your dietary needs!

 

Sister Time: Each day will end with fellowship and fun. Bring a favorite game to share while gathering in the Maple Fellowship Hall. Also, on Friday night we will have a fire pit and smores.

 

Smoke Free/Alcohol Free/Pet Free Environment: The use of alcohol is strictly prohibited at LYBCC and will result in immediate dismissal from the campus. All buildings and property are smoke-free and pets are not allowed in any area or room.

 

Driving Directions: If you are coming from the Tampa Bay area, give yourself 2.5 hours depending on traffic. Lake Yale’s address is below so you can determine the best route for you.
